kajeet has been awarded the Gold Mom’s Choice Award®! This award recognizes kajeet as among the best companies when it comes to providing family friendly products and services.
The Mom’s Choice Award helps families make informed purchasing decisions. The Mom’s Choice Awards organization has a team of judges evaluating each product that is made up of parents, educators, and media experts. They evaluate products based on factors including production quality, design, educational value, entertainment value, originality, appeal and cost.
kajeet has worked hard to provide a cell phone service with parental controls and other family friendly features, and we are thrilled to have received this recognition! Have you ever thought about adding the LG Neon? Or maybe even the LG Exclaim? Maybe even the Sanyo Incognito? I think these look like great phones for older kids to use. Don’t get me wrong, the LG Rumor and Rumor 2 are great phones, but I think we need a bit more of a variety. Congrats about getting the Mom’s Choice award by the way! Good Job!

Hi Laura – Thanks for your feedback & we agree that diversity is important. We are always on the lookout for phones to add to the line-up. We do need to select from manufacturers that can meet certain software requirements – but there are more handsets coming out all the time and the roadmap for the next year looks very interesting. Stay tuned – we will talk here first about new handsets!

I would LOVE to see the blackberry 8330.
Also maybe a Sim card that you could buy for a set price that way you can use any phone you want.

Congrats on the Award!!
I was just wondering when you are going to maybe get some new qwerty or touch phones. I like the LG Rumor 2 a lot, but it is a bit too pricy since I have to pay for my own phones. Do you think if you get other phones similar to the LG Rumor 2, that they will be priced about the same?

We’re always on the lookout for new phone models, including those similar to the LG Rumor 2 you mention. We also try to stock a variety of handsets, at various price points, so there’s always something parents and kids can afford. Check our website often, as our line up changes frequently (and make sure to let us know what you think!).

Hi there, I think Kajeet is a great tool for kids wanting cell phones but parents not wanting to pay a big bill. I was wondering though if in the near future you will be adding some new phones like touch screen phones or blackberrys. I saw LG came out with a Rumor Touch, and I know you sell both rumor 1 and 2 so I think selling the Rumor Touch would be a great idea for teenagers wanting a top of the line phone without the big bill.
